WSV was engaged to lead the workspace strategy and furniture consulting efforts. The client was looking to re-stack 13 floors (during occupancy) to meet current business and industry standards. Full renovation of space.

Discovery

WSV initially met with the C-Suite team and upper business unit management. WSV led all workplace strategy efforts to determine the course of action for design, construction, and furniture using the following processes:

Executive Round Tables

Management and All Employee Surveys

Focus Group and Programming sessions

Top Drivers: Productivity, Communication, Attraction/Retention, Employee Satisfaction. Executives wanted to use the real estate to communicate the organizational brand and culture. They also wanted to revisit work flow, adjacencies, and how business units communicate and conduct business.

Change Management was a key component for the transition of the employees into their new work model and helped ease loss of productivity.

Evaluation/Implementation

WSV initially focused on reduction of the workstation real estate while improving the functionality. There was a tremendous reallocation of personal and filing space to collaborative and shared space. WSV worked with the A&D firm Benson Hlavaty, as they space planned the re-stack. WSV determined the typical layouts, meeting space layouts and consistent experience for employees and guests. WSV then managed the RFI, RFP, showroom tours, mock-ups, and negotiations of both product and service long-term contracts.

Results

A new work style both stations and private offices were implemented. Productivity was addressed through readily access of proper meeting spaces and tools. Communication was addressed through adjacencies, technology integration, better visual access to employees. Standards have now been set for all offices and a warm upgraded aesthetic has been applied. WSV is managing a four phase renovation to keep the employees operational. WSV was also engaged to manage the art and accessory package.
